Winds peaked at 131 KPH in the Wreckhouse this morning and this Trucker experienced whiteout conditions. His damage will be minimum and he will be considered one of the lucky ones to experience the wind phenomenon. One thing for certain, events such as this will be played over and over again. Still no Digital signage in the area warning motorists of the wind.
CBC Reporter Doug Greer arrived at the scene the same time as i did and did a few video clips for the Here and Now News hour show. Hopefully with this coverage someone will soon wake up and think about the signage before someone dies out there.
