Few pics of a recent Trip.

View from the Rooms

Spectacular view! No doubt The Rooms offers a great view of St. Johns but somehow i just can't grasp the way they designed it. Will,maybe it's only me but it's just an opinion. We did enjoy the exhibits and i got to show my granddaughter some of our NL history while in town.

Of course the trip to Bowring Park was her favorite and the Peter Pan Statue gave her plenty to talk about for days.
We visited Cape Spear and Signal Hill and stopped off at a few little bays to enjoy the scenery.

Howley Moose

Written with Mike Madigan (Learning Through The Arts Program) by the students of Howley Elementary School, and sung for the 100th Anniversary of the introduction of Moose to Howley, NL (1904-2004)

A Howley moose, a Howley moose,
I learned about a Howley moose;
A Howley moose, a Howley moose,
Let's celebrate a Howley moose.

Way back in nineteen-hundred-and-four,
Four moose were brought to Howley town;
A hundred years later and now we have,
Thousands of moose running all around.

A Howley moose, a Howley moose,
I learned about a Howley moose;
A Howley moose, a Howley moose,
Let's celebrate a Howley moose.

They came by train and settled down,
And lived in the woods of Howley town;
Had baby moose and they did fan,
Across the island of Newfoundland.

Iceberg
