Tom's debt clock

Tom Marshall is using a visual aid at his pre budget consultations. The finance minister wants all of NL to see that each minute we spend $1,400.oo on our debt. Great idea there Tom! To bad we didn't have one of those clocks ticking when MHA's like Paul went out purchasing artwork and fine wines . We might of noticed it sooner and changed that clock(or Rolex) to Daylight saving time. I bet Tom even has a subliminal message or two flashing on that clock.

I think is a pretty nifty idea and there should be one on the government homepage as well.

It sure is a strong message to groups that are hoping to cash in on the record surplus that we have massive bills from the past to atone for.

It also speaks to why the promise from Harper in the last election was so important. Paying our own way is only part of the battle, we have to catch up as well before the non renewables are all gone.

Nice pictures. Been a while since i had a chance to trek in behind those mountains.
